Skipped one day, now have to recover. Actually it wasn’t a day that I didn’t learn anything, just was little lazy to put words together :D.
So lessons from yesterday:
- If you don’t want to get wet when it rains, use umbrella – pretty obvious one, but it’s on this list 😀
- Survivorship bias and math behind it – when failure becomes invisible, the difference between failure and success may also become invisible, – meaning that to see the entire picture you actually have to count all the attempts, take all the data even with failures. A really great article on this topic can be found here.
- DataCamp is a great resource for learning Data Science and gamification in education works. They prepared useful cheetsheets for people in this field here.
- SegWit (Bitcoin) – a lot of people heard this word, not many of them know what it actually is. So participants of the bitcoin network decided to remove the signature information from the block and send it separately. It actually allowed to include more transactions into the block (block cannot be bigger than 1MB) as removing that info saved about 60% of the space in the block.
If you want more information on any topic from the list, feel free to ask – I will be more than happy to explain everything in detail.
